Keeping SA safe this summer

Each year ETSA Utilities undertakes detailed preparations for summer, to ensure the network is ready for the challenge of prolonged and extreme heatwaves. We are doing everything in our power to minimise the risk of interruptions this summer.

ETSA Utilities sets new benchmark for bare-hand, live-line work

While recently upgrading the Whyalla to Port Lincoln transmission line, one of the largest and most demanding live-line projects ever undertaken, ETSA Utilities' innovative, bare-hand, live-line techniques ensured there were no unplanned outages and reduced the need to use temporary generation. For more information about our major projects, see Construction & Maintenance Services (CaMS).

New system to streamline customer connection process

ETSA Utilities has recently re-launched the REX booking system, the first of its kind in Australia. The upgraded system will streamline the connection process for electricians and electricity retailers, and speed up the process of connecting customers to the
network. See the media release or sign up at the REX homepage.

Harvest time prompts call to Look Up & Live

As they bring in a potential bumper harvest, farmers are being urged to ensure everyone on their property is aware of the danger posed by overhead powerlines. You don't have to touch a powerline to be electrocuted or receive an electric shock. ETSA Utilities reminds everyone to Look Up & Live.
